“No Peeking” - Sweet November Stamps
Playful & fun image. Could it get any more festive than this?
These adorable little Peeking Elves come from Sweet November Stamps - No Peeking Elves Digital Stamp
The scene was quickly created, since the image features the elves peeking from behind a line. That line could be transformed into anything you like with a few strokes of a sketching pencil. You could draw that in to look like a door, a wall - let your imagination run wild.
You could also add a strip of pattern paper in that section - I think that would look really nice!
I chose to leave that section blank so that I could add my greeting there.
I did some masking of the elves, and ink blended with 3 shades of Christmas red inks and some blending brushes.
Before removing the mask I added a splatter of gold metallic water color.
After removing the masks I colored the elves with Copic Markers.
Corner rounded one corner of the image just for some added interest and adhered the image to a card base.
I stamped the sentiment “Merry Christmas” vertically onto the card front and added a few gold gems.
So yes…. the card could probably get more festive than this - however I just love the way this turned out since I was simply just playing with the image at this point and the end result just happened to make it off of my desktop and into the gallery.
But.. doesn’t the element of peeking just add to the excitement of Christmas joy?!
