Hippity, Hoppity, Easter’s On It’s Way
Here I am just days before Easter, yet I somehow thought I had a whole other week until the Bunny would come hoping down the bunny trail…
I’m unsure how days get away from me and one week turns into another week, maybe I have to many things on the go or perhaps daily life just goes by to quickly…
However, since I thought the calendar had several more days before Easter’s arrival and in fact it does not, this means there are only a few short days to share the Easter Greeting cards that were in my schedule for next week.
Between batches of old fashioned home made Easter Eggs, the planning of an Easter Feast, and preparing the yard for the Bunny to hide eggs for kiddies - I will share a few quick Easter cards and their details.
This super cute Easter Greeting features Picket Fence Studio - Peach & Piper’s Easter Adventures Stamp Set
The images were stamped, colored and fussy cut, then set aside to prepare the background to hold 3 tiny Egg Hunt scenes.
I chose a piece of pattern paper from Lawn Fawn’s Summertime Collection cut at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and adhered it to the front of a card base cut at 4 1/4 x 11, Scored at 5 1/2.
Additionally, I chose two more patterns from the same paper collection. A blue that would depict a sky and a green that could act as the grass. I cut across the edge of the green layer of paper using a grass border die. Then using a quick strip of tape runner I attached the grass section to the blue pattern paper.
I used a circle die to cut three circles from this pattern paper mash up.
The circles were placed in the desired layout on the card front and then the magic happens. The characters are placed within the circles to create little Easter scenes. The bunnies and basket were adhered with foam tape and the eggs were added with liquid glue.
I cut 3 clouds from a die that lives on my desktop along with my grass border die. What are your go to dies?
From the stamp set, I chose “Some Bunny Loves You” greeting and stamped it on the largest of the clouds. I then adhered them to the card front, leaving one moving off the edge of the card to create the illusion that the sunny Easter settings continue on as the clouds float by.
The inside of the card was finished off with a 1/2 strip of the same yellow pattern paper and a “Hoppy Easter” sentiment stamped just above the pattern paper.
The flap of an envelope shows off the same yellow pattern paper to create a coordinating home for the card to be sent to the recipient.
I hope the card has given you some creative motivation, maybe you have a stamp set in your stash that will allow you to create a similar layout to this card. It doesn’t have to be Easter - in fact I have created this card layout awhile back using a different set of characters, and I’ll share that after Easter.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter Holiday - may you be blessed with love, sunshine, family, friends and most of all the ability to find the beauty of spring and the world around us. Take something good from everyday…to carry into the next.
