Happy Ant-iverssary - Lawn Fawn Picnic
What a beautiful day for a picnic!! An Ant-iverssary picnic!
This adorable little mice couple are celebrating the many “antics” of their relationship with a fun filled picnic, juicy watermelon & mini mouse sized sandwiches. However they seem to have guests at their picnic and it isn’t a mouse running away with the cheese…

To frame in my card front I used a deckled edge rectangle die. However the die wasn’t quite as large as I needed it to be, so I sent it through the die cut machine using a partial cut technique, repositioning the edge of the die until I reached the desired shape/size to fit the card front.
Copic coloring these little characters and mini foods was almost as much fun as arranging them into picnic orientation. The background is just light ink blending to depict a sky and grass. Clouds were necessary for this scene however they weren’t going to leave room for my sentiment - so this is how the sentiment ended up broken apart and stamped on the clouds. I think it looks pretty ideal!
Here’s the “if I could do something different” moment - I would have added in some grass under the picnic area of the card so these little mice wouldn’t appear to be floating around in mid air.
Other than lacking a little grounding the card turned out super cute and the inside opens to read
”Happy Ant-iverssary”. The sentiments included in the stamp set allow the creator to use a little bit of word play which is always sure to amuze the recipients.
