On A Roll - Dog Themed Any Day Card

The inspiration for this card came from a little adventure that my Son & daughter in law had with their pup.
They had been away from home for the day and returned to find their adventure seeking puppy had decided to redecorate with toilet paper. It was strung from one end of the house to the other.
I guess their puppy was “on a roll”…
Shortly after seeing the pics of this wild little adventure, I found this stamp set over at the Whimsy Stamps website and I knew I just had to grab it.
The stamp set includes a few more fun images besides this adorable dog on a roll, as well as a few more clever sentiments to coordinate with the images.

This card was easily created using a raised panel layer on the card front, that was simply ink blended with a little light blue and orchid colored inks just to create a background for the dog. I stamped and colored the dog with Copic Markers and then cut him out. I placed foam tape on the back of the dog image and adhered it to the front panel.
Added a little “grounding” with a some Copic N markers.
Stamped the more than suitable greeting - which by the way stamped super clean and crisp.
I searched my stash for a few dots that could be added to highlight the background color and give the card a front a little added interest.
I love the clean and simple look of this card and the fact that it’s going to make someone smile!
I am not sure at this point if there are dies to coordinate with this set since I just fussy cut the images to create the cards. However I know they have some super cute dog themed dies as well as some more really fun dog themed stamp sets.
I have my eye on Doggie Did It - so watch for some fun cards coming using that stamp set, and of course more creative fun using today’s stamp set - Doggie Naughty.
Whimsy Stamps products have definitely not disappointed yet. I love the quality of the stamps, the illustrations and fun sentiments, and the stand alone word, frame and border dies will certainly lend some great ideas to step up your card making fun!
