Handmade BBQ Host Gift Instead of a Card

“Kraft” up this delicious BBQ Sauce Collar to give as a host gift at the next BBQ you attend.

This fun project features food images from PolkaDoodles - BBQ Gnome for Men (burger, sauce, pattern paper). I added the hotdog from Winnie Starfish/Sandcastle Hot Dog, The images were colored with Copic Markers, cut out, and arranged to compliment the BBQ themed paper. . The collar fits over the neck of the BBQ sauce bottle to create a super fun gift for your favorite chef in hopes of a delicious day!!

Heading to a BBQ? Don't go empty handed - show some hospitality with this delicious looking BBQ sauce collar. This versatile accessory can also be used to dress up a bottle of wine or spirits. Make a statement and impress your host with this unique and practical gift!

This project is quick and easy to create, making it perfect for a host gift or as an item to sell at craft fairs and markets. Customers enjoy having a little something they can pick up at a nearby craft sale or market to use as a thoughtful host gift for a barbecue or event they plan to attend in the nearby future.

Perfect pattern paper for this project!

This project starts as easily as printing a piece of pattern paper and a few foodie images.

The BBQ theme on this paper was a perfect choice from the BBQ Gnome for Men pack.

Coloring the fun foodie images was next.

Grab your Copic Markers and be as creative as you are in the kitchen…with no dishes to clean up!

Did you catch that glossy gooey BBQ sauce dripping from the sauce bottle?

So much to be had creating the little details on these foodie images!

Check out the glossy realistic mustard on that hot dog!

The foodie images actually have a lot of details going on to make them the highlight of the project. That hot dog is actually 3D with the use of 3 hot dog images and foam tape.

Once the images are colored the rest of the project is ready to be made.

Simply cut a piece of coordinating cardstock ( in this case I used red ).

Cut @ 3 x 6 , Scored @ 2

Pattern Paper cut at - 2 7/8 x 1 7/8 , 2 7/8 x 3 7/8

Adhere the pattern papers in the in the coordinating places.

Using a 1 1/2 circle die or punch, cut a hole centered in the top section of the collar. This creates the hole to pop over the BBQ sauce bottle.

Cut a 1/2 x 3 in strip of red cardstock, adhere the greeting to this piece. Bullet the end for that summer even feel and adhere on a slight angle to the project front after placing all of the fun food images ( some flat, some using foam tape).

The sentiment “Have a Delicious Day” could not be more perfect for this project!

If you would like to create this project but you don’t want to participate in the fabulous and fun adventure entailed in coloring the foodie items - right below are the precolored images for you to download to create the project.

In fact, the project becomes even quicker using this method, the images are already colored PLUS the cutting files are included to quickly cut the images out using your favorite cutting machine!!

BBQ, Chef, Cook, Color Bundle

The hotdog file in itself already includes a black & white and a color image.
