Decorating the Tree Bella Christmas Color

After printing the image - color the image, the Copic Colors I used are listed below. If you chose the pre colored version this project is going to be much quicker for you!

When your image is ready to create with trim it down to a 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 type size. Place a fun border die diagonally across the layer so that you will be leaving the full image on one section of the layer. Die cut.

Adhere a piece of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 pattern paper to the front of a 5 1/5 x 8 1/2 card base, scored at 4 1/4.

Going back to the cut section with the image on it - this is the time to add any splatter or tiny details to the image.

I added some Nuvo shimmer pen to the snow on the ground, and some Copic Opaque Pigment Paint as splatter to the bottom of the card in the snow ( you can see that in the photo ). And just a few splatters around the rest of the image. I also used Nuvo Crystal Glaze on the stars to give them a shiny glossy finish as well as add a little dimension.

Next - add foam tape to the back of image section and adhere it onto the card base.

Trim down the sentiment and bullet the ends.

Adhere that to a scrap of red cardstock. Trim the ends of the red cardstock to match with the bullet ends of the sentiment. Use a bone folder to gently curl the sentiment from the backside.

Apply glue to one end of the sentiment strip and adhere to the image section, use a small piece of foam tape to adhere the other end of the sentiment - leaving some slack in the sentiment strip so it appears like a ribbon.

That’s it! Add a few rhinestones, snowflakes or gems for a little added interest.

Here are those Copic Marker Colors:

Bella & the Tree Trunk - E37, E35, E33

Tree - YG67, YG17, YG03

Bella’s Outfit:

Red- R59, R46, R35

White Fur & Scarf - N1, 0 (colorless blender)

Snow - BV01, BV0000 + shimmer pen

Blue Decoration Bag - B97, B34, B00

Stars - Y19, Y15, Y13

The same color combos were used for the bird, his hat, and the gifts.

*** I realize now that the green gift was in fact not a gift - it is a stool!!

Apparently I need to be sure my glasses are actually helping me to see, or creating illusions!!

Oh well, it made a pretty gift to!

The reason I noticed - I was going to point out that when coloring this image the next time I would choose a different color than green for that gift. Well I certainly will - like brown for a wooden stool type color! Hahaha!

Every card should be a creative adventure!
