Farm Market Card …

Altenew Grown With Love Stamp Set In Review

I love a great farmers market!

Locally sourced breads, jams and jellies. Hand made artisan items such as crocheted/knitted wearables, quilts, and leather goods. Beautiful works of art on paintings or greeting cards. Fresh veggies, herbs and plants. Soaps and hand made jewellery just a few of the wide range of goods to be found at a farmers market while socializing with the kindest and most creative people to be found. Supporting local entrepreneurs …there is no better way to start off a beautiful Saturday or Sunday.

Due to my love of local markets this lovely stamp set from Altenew was gifted to me to create a card or two.

Altenew never fails to provide a high quality stamp set that is sure to stamp crisp and clear every time, and this occasion was no different. Their packaging is loaded with images, tips and links to great stamping information, it’s a perfect resource for beginner stampers or seasoned. Always something new to learn from the Altenew packaging.

So … what did I create?

The stamp set has 2 images and a lot of cute word play sentiments - meaning that you can piece together words and phrases to complete a variety of messages on the card front. So that’s really cool!

However, only 2 images doesn’t give you a lot of options for creativity. There are some alternatives (possibly painful ones) that I will get in to below.

So here’s the card I created with Grown With Love stamp set. It’s positively lovely! Certainly gives the whole market feeling with that cozy little market booth with all of it’s plants and veggies in assorted crates, pots, and baskets. There is a cute little scale on display to weigh the veggies maybe? And of course… the Farmer’s Market picket sign.

I stamped the sign and fussy cut it, so that I could add some type of dimension to the scene.

Other than that, this is going to be a flat scene with the same stamped image everytime!

There are no separate plants or vegetables to be stamped and colored to further the scene.

Alternately - you could stamp the whole image a second time and color some of the pots of flowers or crates of veggies and then fussy cut them and add to the scene with some foam tape to create further dimension over top of the that already stamped image, or just to simply use a singular item to add more product to the scene.

All around the stamp set created a lovely card - however I feel that every card is going to look the same from here on out… I don’t see a lot of vision for this stamp set.

Maybe that’s just me, and I’m not seeing the full potential - but I’m sure we are already seeing the full potential.

$15.99 US dollars + shipping is the cost to purchase the stamp set.

I am expecting more versatility out of a stamp set for my dollars.
