Celebrate another delightful year with this charming birthday card, featuring a scrumptious sweet cake, a playful striped pattern paper and accented by a whimsical polka dotted vellum circle in the background.

This card doesn’t need a lot of introduction - it’s pretty straight forward.

It’s a delicious birthday cake backed up with some incredibly cute and colorful pattern paper.

The design is all digital … So printable!

The collection is NEW from Polkadoodles and called Party Time!

Rightfully so… it is a collection of digital images, characters, super fun papers and sentiments all based around birthday celebrations, or possibly just celebrations.

For today’s card I printed out one of the cake images (not colored) and used my copic markers to color the delicious looking party dessert.

Backed it with a circle of vellum so the image wouldn’t get lost in those bold but fun stripes in the background. Also looks like I didn’t use the paper from this particular collection for the card. Seems I used a super fun paper from ….

Aww…. yes, from this adorable Bunny Collection ( which is also an absolutely sweet collection ).

So the paper was sitting on my desk from another project and I guess I used it rather than the paper that went with the Party Time collection.

It happens, and actually works out wonderfully! The mingling of the different papers and collections - it all happens in the crafting world. :)

So Just a small rewind I backed the delicious cake image with paper from the 3 Bunnies Collection by accident - however it was a happy accident.

Other than adding some white dots with a gel pen to the vellum circle, added a few rhinestones and adhered the card to a card base - that was really it for this card. Super simple, super yummy!
