Just Hoppin By - Interactive Card

Expecting a bunny, weren’t you?

While a bunny I’m sure would be super cute - this adorable, wide eyed sheep brings even more fun as she actually hops over the fence.

This adorable wide eyed sheep brings fun to this interactive card as she actually jumps over the fence into this pretty little meadow. The images from Polkadoodles Sheepy Sheep collection were colored and perfectly paired with a sentiment from Spring Into Easter messages.

All you need besides the super fun Sheepy Sheep collection from Polkadoodles is this interactive die set that will allow you to create tons of slider type cards.

This set has a wide assortment of circular, curved, and straight slider tracks to give your projects that playful vibe and for 10 bucks is a fabulous addition to any crafting space.

Interactive Slider Dies - Amazon $9.99

The card begins with 2 layers of white cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, as well as the Sheep & fence images printed on a separate piece of paper.

Color and cut out the sheep and fence (grassy meadow). Set aside.

** For my card I used two sections of fence and meadow to give the meadow some depth. So I just layered one a bit over the other using foam tape.

In one of the pieces of white cardstock arrange placement of the slider partial circle die and cut the track in this layer with the circle portion facing upwards on the layer.

The track is cut - now, using a piece of mint tape or temporary adhesive attach the 2 layers together, with the layer with the cut out on top.

Using a blending brush and some light blue shades of ink -gently blend a sky that makes you happy!

With a blending brush and green inks blend in a grassy area on the bottom of these layers.

**Be sure the sky has blended through the track area so that there won’t be a gapping white space where the track is. The cut out will just blend into the card front.

Cut 2 small circles of white cardstock - like half inch circles that will fit behind the sheep without being seen.

Attach one of the circles of cardstock onto the back of the sheep.

Attach a small foam circle or even a bead ( I like to use a small bead ) to the center of the circle. This creates enough depth for the sheep to move freely about the cut out track.

Turn the sheep over into the position it would be in on the card front and be sure to place the bead or the foam square into the track. Adhere the 2nd circle to the bead or small foam circle.

With the 2 layers matching up and the sheep in place in the track adhere these 2 panels together. **Do not place glue any where near the track or mechanism pieces of the sheep. This area needs to be kept free of adhesive so the sheep can roam freely!

Adhere this layer to a card base cut at 4 1/4 x 11, Scored @5 1/2.

Add any of the great sentiments from Spring Into Easter Messages.

Add a few gems or rhinestones to the card front.

Now play to your hearts content with this little jumping sheep!

I hope you have enjoyed this card and that you grab yourself a set of these track dies so that you can make endless interactive fun cards in the future!
