Attitude is Everything… Big Attitude, Big Eyelashes… Big words of Encouragement - An adorable hand made card…
Girls with a big attitude and big eyelashes are back… this time with some big words of encouragement!
This sulky gal looks like she has a bit of attitude and with good reason - I forgot her in my stash of cards.
I have a lot of cards going on for different products and design teams - so cards get created and put in organizing bins until it is their time to make an appearance here on this page or other social networks.
I guess my organizing methods aren’t that great, since this girl and her attitude have been in a bin ( not the one she belongs in ) for about 2 months.
Today I found her - and I was reminded of what inspired me to make the card:
My daughter has spent the last year in school and placement hours to earn her PSW certification. She has thrived in the course and has completely enjoyed her time spent with the elderly during placement hours. However nearing the end of the course and aspiring to graduation came the harsh reality that it was now time to sink down a full time job in her trained position in order to be able to support herself and her son. The competition for job placements in this field in a small town is huge. While finishing her required course hours she was awaiting employment offers and financial worries, knowing when she was lucky enough to acquire a job she would then need to put in 2 weeks of work before actually receiving an income. She was quite stressed and easily lost site of the amazing accomplishments she had made to get to this point, surviving full time school, placement hours and raising a 2 year old.
Hence this Sulky Rebel Girl landed on this card front with the sentiment
“ Attitude is Everything”… the inside reads “Make it Happen”.
Perhaps now that I have found the card, I should give it to her. She can laugh about it hanging out in a bin, and it can also be a reminder to her that she can do anything she puts her mind to!
And she did!! She found herself a great job and is loving her new career path as well as full time Mom & Dad.
