You’re Sweet Like Pumpkin Pie - Diagonal Flap Fold Card

This sweet pumpkin pie card is not only fun to create… it’s also a super fun card to give!!

The card starts with 3 fabulous Fall/Autumn themed printable papers from Fall/Autumn Paper Pack 3 , Fall Autumn Paper Pack 1 and Fall Autumn Paper Pack 2. You can of course choose your favorite 3 papers from any of these paper packs. I just happened to have them all as they came with the Freddy Fox Printable bundle.

I can’t say enough amazing things about the Freddy Fox Bundle - it has endless creative possibilities for such super cute Fall/Autumn cards…. however I did not use that bundle to create today’s card.

The images for this Diagonal Flap Fold card were from Autumn/Fall Treat Printable download - it’s filled with a little spooky, pumpkins, fall images, and some yummy fall treats such as candy apples and pie!!

There happened to be an image of a piece of pie that I knew my markers could turn into a delicious slice of pumpkin pie as well as an image of a full pie. Which again could be any pie you want it to be!

Autumn Fall Greetings provided the perfectly sweet sentiment for the card front “You’re Sweet Like Pumpkin Pie”.

This sentiment pack is filled with 34 fun fall sentiments for your cards!! I used one for the inside of the card as well. This card design seemed perfect for a fall birthday!

The making of the card is easy…

Simply cut a card base at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, Scored at 4 1/4. Open the card base up and using your trimmer cut from the top left corner of the card front to the bottom right corner on a diagonal. This creates the diagonal flap for your card front.

Next cut a piece of white cardstock at 8 1/2 x 3 1/8, scored at 4 1/4 on the long side. This creates almost like a mini card. Decorate this section with a piece of the fall printable paper cut at 3 x 4 1/8.

Color the pie image and attach with foam tape above the sentiment- also attached with foam tape.

*** I pre printed the inside of this mini card layer with the sentiment and full pie image using Adobe Express - after printing I just had to cut it down to size, then decorated the front.

Using a 2nd pattern of the printable paper I cut one piece at 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 and adhered to the back panel of the card base.

I cut a 2nd piece of this paper using the same measurement and cut it on a diagonal ( be sure to cut the diagonal on the right angle to fit the back of the diagonal flap of the card base.

The 3rd section of pattern paper ( and in my opinion the prettiest ) was cut at 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 then cut diagonal to decorate the diagonal flap on the front of the card base. Again, be sure you are cutting the paper at the right angle to fit the section.

After all pattern papers are adhered in their places, add some tear n tape to the back of the mini card section and adhere to the back panel of the card base. Before setting this piece in stone - be sure that it is going to open and close without catching.

Super easy… Super fun!
