It’s safe to say, for me, it’s like the challenge of a hidden object game to find the next nostalgic journey to an image I can create yet another timeless card with.
Some of my favorites so far have been within the Work & Play collections. The Rose Bud collection is fabulous and even includes the files to create a 3D vintage carriage as well as houses (this collection is so amazing I can’t even begin to explain it - you just have to click and see). The fashion from these eras astounds me from farm attire to ballgowns and top hats.
This week’s card challenge brought me back to the classic “Wedding Car”.
This super cute wedding/anniversary card radiates a charming vintage vibe! Featuring the adorable Wedding Car digi coloured with Copic markers, and cut out using a playful postage die. The background is a mix of two Love & Kisses Papers in a haphazard layout, adding to the whimsical appeal. A sentiment from the Love & Kisses Sentiment Tags adds a hint of romance, while the distressed edges and ivory-colored card base create a warm, nostalgic feel.
The images, papers, embellishments, and sentiments included in these collections make it super simple to create beautiful timeless cards. Pairing these with shades of ivory, lace, and distressed edges will always compliment the journey back to a much simpler time before us…
