Naughty Elf Christmas Card
This card is for those with a sense of humor… and a slight bit of naughtiness.
This little elf may be making his way onto Santa’s “naughty list”…
There are not a lot of words to be written in regards to this card… It’s either a “you think it’s cute” card, or “that is just wrong card”.
If it is the later for you, then cover your eyes and just scroll along and pretend you never saw it and move on to the next festive card.
If you got a little chuckle from this card - then you can either head over to the card shop to purchase it for the first person you thought of when you saw it, or you can decide to create it for yourself.
The image comes from Whimsy Stamps - Naughty Elf. The stamp comes in the from of a digital image which allows you to make the image any size you would like to suit your card front.
The design of the card featured some random die cuts, scallop rectangle ( using partial die cutting to achieve a square ). I really need some scalloped square dies! An icicle die that I use many times over on cards, however it’s nothing special its just a die I have had for quite some time, in fact I ended up with 2 (apparently I thought it was very useful).
The HO HO HO Dies come from Scrapbook.com, I received those as a freebie last Christmas season and have used them on numerous cards.
Pattern Paper - Any festive paper will do, since the paper only lends a bit of color and interest to the card front.
This brings us back to the image - The Naughty Elf image is Copic Colored. The elf has some Nuvo glossy dots to create that sparkle in his eye, and the candy cane has the Nuvo Glossy Dots as well to create a very life like looking candy cane.
The sentiment is included with the image.
Even though I love a funny card or something with a bit of a pun, I was unsure of the response to this particular card - it has been one of the most popular. Right up there with the Tight Squeeze Santa card. So I guess people are in the mood for humor this Holiday Season.
