Most popular Father’s Day card from 2023

We’ll go back in time a bit today to the most popular Father’s Day card for 2023.

When I say most popular I mean “most popular” from The Paper Artist/Creative Card Design social media accounts - so the most views, saves, or purchases from the shop.

This card has continued to receive daily hits all year long, and still getting pings today - justly so as we roll back around to Father’s Day.

The card was created with a Stampin Up bundle called Gone Fishing, which boasted some nice stamped images, practical sentiments, and an imaginative set of dies that would allow you to create a tackle box and tackle to delight the avid fisherman.

Currently this set can still be purchased. If you are in Canada I can link to my friend Shirley who is a Stampin’ Up demonstrator and in other locations you can go to Stampin Up and proceed to search up Gone Fishing.

** Just a note - I don’t believe the paper is available any longer, however there are many papers to be found out there including digital pattern papers that will allow you to find something very similar for paper patterns or maybe you already have something in your stash.

Luckily the card will work up using many different designs for pattern paper.

This Gone Fishing bundle has been used so many times to create cards on my desktop due to it’s ability to whip off a fantastic masculine card and I guess fishing is very popular in my neck of the woods. The “retirement” sentiment was also a bonus. So definitely this stamp and die set has been extremely useful to me… in fact -

I used it just 2 days ago to re create “the most popular Father’s Day card of 2023” for any of you who may have missed it last year .

It has a fresh new look - by color only, otherwise it is the exact same card.

1 other change was the embossing of the small white panel behind the fish.

The fish - who seem to be the focal point of this card were fussy cut from a piece of the designer paper that went with this bundle, and as a I said above I don’t believe the paper is available any more.

However, don’t fear the stamp set contains the fish, so you can stamp them in any color combination you would like.

In the past I have heat embossed the fish with some multi colored embossing powders, I have used different colors of Nuvo Crystal drops on the fish - there are so many options when it comes to crafting up the fish for the front of this card.

I have provided a link below for the printable tutorial to create this fun Father’s Day card!

Don’t forget you can change up the sentiment, the focal point, the paper and use this design with products you already have in your stash to create a super fun card idea of your own!

Have fun … and Happy Crafting!
