Birthday Blooms - Pop of Color Card
Despite the snowflakes that keep falling here from morning to noon each day, I see daffodils and tulips peeking through into the warm afternoon sun. I see buds on the lilac trees, and even a hollyhock leaf that has popped up.
Do you see signs of Spring?
This bright and colorful card is a reminder of the beautiful blooms that will come with the changing of the seasons. The focal image flowers come from Build a Bouquet Die Set.
I have just die cut these with white cardstock and then used my Copic Markers to color them quickly. You can also cut these with scraps of colored cardstock or pattern paper. It’s a great way to turn those scraps into something beautiful!
The sentiment was stamped from Blooming Sentiments. Stamped in that nice circular shape and die cut using the Blooming Sentiments dies. This set includes some beautiful sentiments with coordinating dies to cut them out as well as some florals and leaves.
The bright & lively background paper is a page from Bouquet Pattern Paper Pad . This paper pack includes not only these super playful stripes, but also pretty floral patterns as well as coordinating solid colors. I love how all of the papers play well together.
For this card, the bright bold colors from the background really draws the eye to the delicate flowers within the die cut circle. I love how the “Sending You Birthday Blooms” wraps around the focal circle.
I added a touch of black splatter, which may have turned out to be just a little more than I wanted, however I’m not going to toss an otherwise beautiful card for something that simple. Anyone who has viewed the card already has loved it!
This tells me that everyone likes different things, everyone views things differently - and this is an important reminder to us especially in the times were are experiencing throughout the world recently.
Everyone has different opinions, different ideals, yet we are all beautiful - and our blooms look so much nicer when paired together rather than when we stand alone!
