Create a Blast Off with this Birthday Card
Perfect Birthday card for a little boy ( or girl ) in your life!
This rocketing card is powered with a little bit of action that is sure to make spirits soar on someone’s special day!
One thing I don’t create a lot of is … kids cards! I have many adorable young grandchildren, so you would think my cards would be more kid oriented - however my crafting just doesn’t seem to slant that way.
Do you create cards for kids?
This adorable little rocket caught my eye… it was hidden away in Polkadoodles Little Dudes collection - Rocket Car Precolored Digi Stamp
I printed the stamp as a pre colored image. The printable papers included in Astronaut Little Dudes seemed perfect for creating the card I had in mind.
I cut a 1 1/2 x 5 1/2 strip of the cloud paper and attached it to the center of a card base cut at 4 1/4 x 11, Scored at 5 1/2.
I cut 2 strips of the rocket themed paper at 1 1/2 x 5 1/2 and adhered those to either side of the card base using foam tape.
I cut a few random clouds from scraps of the cloud paper and glued those into random places on the card front and trimmed off any excess.
I used a small postage square die to cut the sentiment “Make a Wish”. I gently blended the edges with a light blue ink to help it blend in with the clouds.
I fussy cut the rocket image ( you can use the cutting file included ) and adhered it into place using a large spring action wobbler. This allows the rocket to move around on the card front.
Kids love these spring action wobbler cards. I’ve met the occasional adult who could be easily entertained with a wobbler image as well. :)

I added a few rhinestones to the card front for some added sparkle. Inside the card I attached a strip of 1/2 inch cloud paper for an inside accent, and stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment. A remaining section of rocket paper was used to decorate the envelope.
And I have a blast-fully fun birthday card for a little person!
