A Beautiful Floral Friendship Card…

Spring has definitely sprung!

The past week I have watched the amazing seasonal transformation of the of the cherry tree on the front lawn - the beginning of tiny burgundy pearl like blossoms flourish into a fully blossomed tree of the most amazing hues of pinks and burgundies have all fallen into a lush pink carpet a top the grass. Leaving the cherry tree as just a tree of leaves now as the birds anxiously await the cherries they will feed on in the coming fall and winter.

Tiny buds formed on the lilac bushes and in what seemed like just a few days turned into gorgeous shades of blues and lilac, the aromatic scent filled the air outside, the bushes a buzz of bumble bees.

The tulips and daffodils have peaked and now lay helpless and in the flower beds.

Hydrangeas, dahlias & peony leaves are growing abundantly… and as the warm sunny days with rainy evenings make their way into the season it will be their time to soon bloom.

However, I just couldn’t wait to see the beautiful peonies bloom, so I colored one and placed it on a card front.

And you can to…

This beautiful blooming peony comes from the digital files at PolkaDoodles, and it is just one of a few gorgeous blooms.

Perfect Peony comes with:

  • 3 black & white images

  • 3 precolored images

  • 4 printable papers

  • 3 printable greetings

All for less than $5 dollars.

I love these little digital bundles!

They have enough papers, images and sentiments to create multiple cards, over and over again.

You can resize the images to any size you desire or arrange them in any way you like on your card front.

The papers included all coordinate and make it so easy to match your project up with the perfect colors - how could you go wrong?

Plus… with precolored images included - it’s perfect if you don’t really like to color. Just cut the pre colored images out and enjoy the many ways to decorate your card fronts.

With greetings to fit several occasions.

For the card above I didn’t use any of the beautiful digital papers. I chose to use one single image of a lone peony for dramatic effect on my card front.

Really simple card to create, yet also stunning!

Here are the measurements & instructions if you would like to give it a try…

This card was created on a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 white card base and scored @4 1/4. A second layer of white cardstock cut at 4 x 5 1/4 was layered to the card base using foam tape, after a simple splatter of metallic gold water color paint.

The image was printed, colored with Copic markers and cut out. It was a adhered to the card front in the desired placement using foam tape.

The greeting was printed and cut out and attached using liquid glue in the bottom right corner.

Finally, a few clear water drops were added to create a little something extra.

The card turned out beautiful, and I cannot wait to send it to one of my friends!
